Just a reminder that through this weekend, Global Goods Partners will be contributing 30% of Orca purchases to our school (20% thereafter). This is not only an amazing fundraiser, but a chance to contribute to the social and ecomomic wellfare of women and their families around the world.
I ordered and received a beautiful assortment of gifts from Global Goods Partners, most under $10, and can attest to the high quality and value of each and every one of these handmade items. Each comes with an informational tag describing Global Goods Partners, the country from which the item was created, and the programs and people the purchase supports.
The gifts that I purchased were all carefully selected by my 2nd grader. She read each and every one of the stories attached to the items and we had a great discussion regarding all the different ways we can connect with and help others even from so far away. I feel this is a great lesson for her in compassion, philanthropy, geography, and economics.
