Over the next year, the Board will focus on closing the gap between behavior expectations for All in a series of meetings called "The Orca Way". At this first meeting there will be an opportunity for all to chime in and take part in a discussion about the creating a great learning environment. Mostly, we want to understand what kind of behavior do Teachers, Students and Parents expect at school, in class and towards one another. Is there a simple set of rules that we can all agree on? How do we make sure? How do we measure?
Agenda:
7:00 Ben's poem
7:05 Treasurer's report
7:15 "The Orca Way" - a look at what makes our school great
7:30 Town hall - subject: classroom behavior
8:00 Small group discussion
8:30 end
Middle Schoolers are encouraged to attend and participate. Childcare will be provided.
Included in this series will be discussions on Alt Ed, teaching styles, race, positive discipline, and contracts. We will do our best to include All...including those without a voice on campus. Please help me get the word out about this most important effort.
Thank you!
