Dear Orca Families, Friends and Alumni,

We are writing to ask for your help.  A diverse and creative education is what you love about Orca.  Yet each year as public funding declines, programs that are essential to this well-rounded education are no longer supported.  Music and arts, a well-stocked library, and outdoor education would not exist if Orca relied solely on public funding. They will only survive because of contributions from our community.  Please make a gift to Orca today at:

https://www. paypal.com/cgi- bin/webscr?cmd=_s-xclick& hosted_button_id=937658.

523 reasons to give

523 children and young adults will receive a superior learning experience with the resources provided by the Annual Fund.  Annual Fund gifts allow every child the opportunity to supplement classroom learning with cultural and educational field trips and camping trips; provide hands on environmental education to students at all grade levels in the Orca garden; ensure that technology in the classroom is current and accessible to students; and continue programs like Explorations in Math, Instrumental Music, and the Young Authors Program.

Annual Fund gifts touch every child, every day

As the gap between public funding and the needs of our school continues to grow, the only way to guarantee Orca’s unique programs continue to flourish is through individual contributions.  Unrestricted gifts provide the most critical dollars for the school, because they allow maximum flexibility to apply funds where they are needed most.  Your tax-deductible donation to the Annual Fund gives our children tools for academic success and supports programs that foster a lifelong love of learning.

Give our children these gifts:

$10,000 brings artists, writers and musicians into the classroom to stimulate young minds.
$2,500 supports one year of environmental education in the Orca garden.
$1,000 in scholarships ensure all Orca K-8 students can attend camp.
$600 will provide juggling lessons for all Orca K-8 students.
$120 provides one month of art supplies to spark budding imaginations.
$50 buys support and equipment to help teach invaluable computer literacy skills.

We ask that you participate as generously as possible, but gifts of any size make a difference.  Each gift demonstrates your understanding and commitment to the needs of Orca K-8.  By participating in the Annual Fund, you express confidence in Orca’s mission and help to ensure our future prosperity.  With the support of caring Orca families, friends, alumni and neighbors, this year’s Annual Fund Drive will be a great success!

Sincerely,

Susan King
Chair,
Orca Annual Fund

P.S. This year's Annual Fund goal is $55,000.  We can only reach that goal with your generous contribution.  Your donation is not just a contribution to Orca, but a contribution to a rich and diverse education for these children.  Please donate today!
