Wondering where to drop off your student for school? Here is some important information about before and after school procedures.

  • The school day officially begins at 9:05AM and ends at 3:10PM. Playground supervision begins at 8:45AM. (Students should not arrive prior to this time.)
  • Students should be dropped off and picked up at the northwest loading bay on Dawson St. (First bay when traveling east on Dawson St.) There is no student drop off at the pull-in area at the front of the school on 46th St. This area is reserved for student buses.
  • Students go directly to the playground until the start of school bell rings.

To support teachers' ability to plan and deliver the highest quality instruction, students are not allowed in the building prior to 9:05 (an exception is made for rainy day recess and for students eating breakfast). Teachers urgently need the time just before school to meet, set up for the day and plan lessons.

School is dismissed at 3:10PM. Students who walk are expected to walk directly home or be picked up by a designated adult at that time. Please make arrangements with a daycare provider if these times do not work for your schedule - First BASE is our on-site before and after school program. They may be reached at 722-3658. There is no supervision other than First BASE before 8:45AM and after 3:10PM - please help us keep your child safe.

If it is raining prior to the start of school, students will be allowed into the building. Students are to report to their classrooms and remain there untill the start of school. After school, students who take the bus will remain in their classrooms untill their bus number is called. All other students will go outside to be picked up by their designated guardian. There is NO after school supervision for non-bus riders.

There is no parent parking on school premises.
All parent parking is on the street. Absolutely NO parent vehicles should enter the parking lot at the front  of the building. We need this area to be free for handicapped busing,  deliveries, etc.
